Description
G&G GC16 FFR 7" M4 AEG Airsoft Gun
The G&G GC16 FFR line of airsoft electric gun (AEG) is G&G newest intermediate level of M4 for 2015. The major feature that separates this M4 from the others on the same level is the rail system. The FFR M4 line features 4 brand new rifles, each equipped with a different length rail system to accommodate the users for each different play style. The FFR comes in 4 variations: 7” rail, 9” rail, 12” rail, and 12” rail with silencer. Here we will take a look at the 7” rail version.
The plastic orange flash suppressor that comes with the G&G GC16 FFR 7" M4 AEG Airsoft Gun provides a more aggressive look to the AEG. Covering the 7” barrel is the FFR rail system. The rail system is 7 inches, and tubular shape making it fairly comfortable in the hand. The 1913 picatinny rail system runs along the top of the rail system while the left, right and bottom is left with no rail, but if needed, rail sections can be attached anywhere along every 45 degree angle on the rail to provide more room for accessories.
All 4 versions of the G&G GC16 FFR 7" M4 AEG Airsoft Gun come with a set of front and back folding iron sights. When flip up, the iron sights are adjustable for windage and elevation and can be used by themselves or flip down as back up when using alongside with another sighting system such as red dot sight or a zoom scope. The Ambidextrous charging handle provides more comfort while adjusting the hop up unit whether the user is right or left handed. The upper and lower receivers of the FFR are metal, providing a more realistic weight to the AEG. The finger groves on the motor grip provide comfort when handling the AEG, while the enlarged selectors switch making changing firing mode effortless. The G&G GC16 FFR 7" M4 AEG Airsoft Gun is equipped with G&G 18,000rpm high torque motor. The stock is the G&G 6 position retractable crane stock and is also where the battery compartment is located. The stock is capable of housing a 9.6v nunchuk NiMH battery.
The gearbox is a full metal V2 gearbox that is compatible with an extensive variety of aftermarket replacement or upgrade parts. Based on the gearbox specs, it is recommended to use this rifle with a 9.6v NiMH battery or a 7.4v Lipo battery. 11.1v Lipo batteries are more powerful and can be used to power the rifle to achieve a higher rate of fire and crispier trigger response but at the cost of a higher rate of wear and tear on the rifle.
All 4 versions of the FFR AEG shares the same barrel set up: G&G standard plastic hop up, cold resistance green bucking, and aluminum inner barrel. The G&G GC16 FFR 7" M4 AEG Airsoft Gun specifically comes with a 205mm inner barrel.
The G&G GC16 FFR 7" M4 AEG Airsoft Gun comes out of the box with the AEG rifle itself, 3 pieces of rail sections, and one 120 round mid-cap magazine. The feet per second (FPS) of the AEG average around 330-340. Whether the game takes place outdoor, indoor or a bit of both, the FFR line will have something for all the circumstances, and the FFR 7’s strength leans more toward the indoor, close quarter environment.
